Warm days are coming to an end
The weather will undergo big changes as a cold front passes through the area in the morning. This front also brings the chance to see some showers along and behind the front.
Stormcast depicts the rainfall potential well on Thursday morning. While showers are possible, they aren’t likely to drop much accumulation given their quick-moving nature.
After 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, rain chances will drop off significantly. We’ll be dry for Thursday afternoon, and skies will turn mostly sunny. It will be a significantly cooler afternoon though, with temperatures perhaps rebounding to the upper-40s in Lincoln.
Cooler air continues to rush into the area overnight and into Friday morning. We’re forecasting a low near 19° in Lincoln. However, there will be a wind chill factor which may make it feel like the single digits.
While there will be a lot of sunshine, it’ll be cold and windy for Veteran’s Day. The cold weather is not going away anytime soon. We’re keeping teens for lows and 30s/40s for highs over the weekend.
