Warm football weather while storms miss north, west this weekend
Warm weather will carry through the weekend, keeping conditions dry.
In the meantime, this Friday the 13th is as good a time as any to check in on the holiday countdown with more fall festivities around the corner.
Temperatures will dip due to some added cloud cover the first part of Saturday, with some low-level fog possible in some areas across eastern Nebraska as well. Otherwise, we’ll still be above average with temperatures close to 90 both Friday and Sunday.
As for football, the weather has been winning a lot lately. We’ll be warm to start out Week 3’s matchup tonight: temperatures will be right around 80° for kickoff. Count on southeasterly winds in the range of 10-20 mph.
We’ll also be warm for the next evening Husker game tomorrow tonight. Skies will be clearing more by the start of that one against Northern Iowa. Temperatures won’t resemble the fall feels as much as they did last week.
Some storms will fire up in northern Nebraska late Saturday afternoon, but they will be fairly weak as they try to survive and move east Saturday night.
While most of us miss out, better rain chances will come especially by the second half of next week.
