Warm temperatures continue into the weekend
The summer-like temperatures continue through the weekend. There will be small storm chances for those in the west and NE both Friday and Saturday morning, however most will stay dry. Better chances for precipitation arrive the following week with cooler temperatures.
When heading out to work or school in the morning temperatures will feel quite warm, yet comfortable in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Temperatures quickly rise with our highs reaching the upper 80s and eventually lower 90s.
Another hot day, Friday’s highs are forecast to reach the lower 90s with few upper 80s. Similar to Thursday’s windy day, Friday afternoon will be hot and gusting closer to 25-30 mph out of the south.
Friday morning will allow for possible storm activity mainly to the west and NE. Southeastern counties will be mostly sunny in the early morning followed by an increase in cloud coverage in the afternoon. The clouds will not linger throughout the day, as they move to the east skies will clear again.
Although the isolated storm chance is small on Friday, we are seeing a Marginal Risk level (1/5) for possible strong winds and hail. The storm activity will be be very hit-or-miss and not widespread.
