Warm with less wind this Wednesday
Another warm day is on tap this Wednesday.
Morning temperatures will be almost 30 degrees, which is closer to almost our average high temperature.
That means the afternoon hours will be way above average once more, warming up toward the middle 50s.
The kicker about today: a lot less wind.
The final few days of January will continue to be quite mild, with rain chances increasing Thursday.
We’re awaiting the next system to arrive with spotty showers after midnight tonight into early Thursday morning.
Latest trends in models have moved most of the rain chances in our area to later Thursday night, with Lincoln missing out on more. Stormcast below will take you hour-by-hour starting tonight through Friday morning.
There could be some embedded thunderstorms across southeast Nebraska during this timeframe as well, before rain clears east pretty early Friday morning.
Since latest models are edging us out more with rain here in Lincoln, we may be looking at about a tenth of an inch of rain.
This weekend now looks fairly warm as well with the start of February. Highs will continue to be around the mid to upper 50s.
