Warmer Again on Wednesday, Snow Chances Thursday
We look to hang on to the 20s for a little while longer and for anyone heading out to watch the Husker basketball game this evening, take your cold weather Husker gear with you.
Temperatures will be frigid once again on Wednesday morning, with overnight lows dropping to the single digits in a few spots.
Partly cloudy skies in Lincoln will continue through the overnight hours as temperatures fall into the upper single digits.
Highs on Wednesday will be above freezing for most of us, even up to the 40s in central Nebraska.
We finally look to climb above the freezing mark on Wednesday in the Capital City, with afternoon temperatures in the middle 30s.
The latest run of StormCast shows a chance for fog in south-central and southeastern Nebraska to start the day on Wednesday. Our focus then shifts to chances for snowfall starting on Thursday.
Snow potential through Friday looks to remain on the lighter side, with the best chance in a line from north-central Nebraska to the far southeastern corner of the state.
Bitter cold temperatures are ushered in behind Thursday’s snow chances, returning our high temperatures to the teens. We will see another couple of chances at some much-needed moisture this weekend before temperatures warm up for the start of February.
