Warmer days ahead but cooler by next weekend

A Winter Weather Advisory for western Nebraska is in place until midnight where up to 6″ of snow could fall with higher amounts into Colorado.

Temperatures were near normal across eastern Nebraska today but struggled to reach into the lower 30’s in the west. We begin a warming trend Sunday into at least the middle of the week ahead.

Normal highs are generally in the upper 30’s this time of year but Wednesday will be a sweetheart of a day with a cold front cooling us down by Thursday.

Is the cold front pushes through the region it might kick up some mixed precipitation by Friday morning followed by much cooler air for next weekend and beyond.
