Warmer Thursday, Temperatures Drop Friday
A chilly start to our Thursday morning in Lincoln with temperatures in the middle 20s. Keep the coat handy as you head out the door, though we should only need a light jacket by this afternoon.
Our annual KLKN Coat Drive supporting the People’s City Mission will be from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Thursday. We would love to see everyone, and we have some beautiful weather today in Lincoln!
High Temperatures across the state will range from the upper 30s in far eastern Nebraska to the upper 60s in southwest Nebraska!
Highs today in Lincoln will reach the lower 50s with partly sunny skies.
Overnight lows heading into Friday will drop into the 20s for most of the state.
We then turn our attention to this weekend, with Stormcast showing a chance for snow. A few flurries possible early Friday in north-central Nebraska, with snow chances moving to northeast Nebraska on Friday evening. A small chance for flurries here in southeast Nebraska by Saturday afternoon.
I feel like I am starting to feel like a broken record, but the best snow chances this weekend will be in far northeast Nebraska.
Temperatures will continue to drop as we head toward the weekend, reaching the lower to middle 20s. Overnight lows Saturday into Sunday will be in the single digits. Temperatures do look to rebound early next week, back into the 40s and 50s.
