Warming again in early July toward the holiday
Strongest storms overnight produced some 50-70 mph winds through south-central Nebraska before weakening early. The severe threat diminished for the Severe T’storm Watch to be cleared before 5 a.m. Monday.

Showers and storms will mainly pass us by in Lincoln to the west and south. As see start to see some light showers around the morning commute, it won’t be much rain.
Temperatures will warm to the mid 80s with more clearing and sunshine toward the later afternoon hours. A north breeze again will feel nice!
For the final day of June, southeast Nebraska will be below average with highs in the lower and mid 80s. Then we’re looking warmer again by the end of the week.
Middle 90s are in the forecast for Thursday, with storm chances increasing again by the holiday.
Fourth of July storm chances for now look to hold off until the second part of the day, but we’ll be looking into the finer details as we get into the back half of the week.
