Warming for the weekend; More rain early next week

Temperatures warm through the weekend as Spring officially begins at 10:33 a.m. CDT Sunday morning.  Spring showers arrive for the beginning of next week.

Sunny skies will prevail throughout southeast Nebraska Saturday.  After a chilly start in the morning, temperatures will quickly warm for the afternoon.  Highs will be in the middle 60°s.

Clouds will be on the increase Sunday morning, turning skies partly sunny for the afternoon.  Strong southerly winds will help send temperatures in to the 70°s during the afternoon.  Highs should be in the lower to middle 70°s.

A combination of gusty winds, warmer air, and lower relative humidity will result in an increased fire danger throughout eastern Nebraska Sunday.  Red Flag Warnings may be issued Sunday afternoon and evening which means outdoor burning is not recommended!

A weather system will move through the south-central Plains on Monday.  Streaming north ahead of the weather system, moisture will arrive in Nebraska in the form of rain.  A widespread steady rain looks possible for Tuesday where some locations in southeast Nebraska could have around 1″ of rainfall through Wednesday morning.
