WATCH: Distracted driving causes crash on Nebraska highway, authorities say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Nebraska law enforcement agency is sharing a reminder to avoid distracted driving.

On Thursday, the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office shared dashcam footage of a crash Thursday on Highway 30, just west of Elm Creek.

A sedan crossed the center line and hit an oncoming semitrailer.  The sheriff’s office said no one was injured.

But the agency thinks distracted driving was a factor in the crash.

The sheriff’s office reminds drivers to wear seat belts and maintain their focus on the road.

The Nebraska State Patrol and the Overton Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department also responded to the crash.
