WATCH: Driver attacked by stranger during attempted robbery in central Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are searching for a man who attacked a person inside a parked car last month in central Lincoln.

On April 18 around 11 p.m., the victim arrived at his friend’s house near 12th and D streets when a man jumped into his vehicle.

The man told the victim he had a gun and to get out.  He then punched the victim 20 times in the head, according to police.

The victim fought back and got the man out of his vehicle before driving away, police said.

Investigators said the assailant is an Asian male, around 5-foot-7 and possibly in his late 30’s or early 40’s.

Police are also looking for a woman who tried getting prescription drugs from a southeast Lincoln CVS.

On March 29, the woman dropped off a prescription at the CVS near 56th Street and Nebraska Parkway.

Staff called the prescribing doctor, who said he never filled the prescription.

When the woman returned to CVS, she was denied the prescription and left the store, police said.

Anyone with information on either case is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
