Storm brings high winds to Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Parts of Lancaster County were under a severe thunderstorm warning early Wednesday.

Around midnight, severe thunderstorms along a line from about Ceresco to Wilber were moving east at 40 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Winds were expected to gust up to 60 mph, the weather service said, and could cause damage to roofs, siding and trees.

A user of the NOW Local News App uploaded a video capturing the sound of the wind as it whipped through Lincoln.

The warning for Lancaster County expired at 12:45 a.m.
