WATCH: Man breaks into north Lincoln Dairy Queen, leaves empty-handed

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are searching for the man who left empty-handed after breaking into a north Lincoln Dairy Queen late Friday night.

In security video, a pickup truck is seen parking in an adjacent lot to the Dairy Queen near 27th Street and Whitehead Drive,

A man then walked over to the Dairy Queen and threw a concrete planter into a glass door.

The man got inside and tried to break into the restaurant’s office, but he was unsuccessful, according to police.

In another attempt, the man tried going through the ceiling to get into the office.

Eventually, he walked out the back door without anything, police said.

Police are also searching for a duo who bought several items using counterfeit bills at the Walmart near 27th and Superior streets last month.

On Aug. 20, a man and a woman used 10 counterfeit $100 bills in three different transactions, each totaling less than $100, police said.

The duo bought three 10-inch portable DVD players, a king-size candy bar, two box sets of “Gunsmoke” on DVD and a box of Lipton tea.
