WATCH: Man checked if anyone was home before burglary in south Lincoln
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are looking for a trio who burglarized a south Lincoln home on Friday.
A security camera captured a man wearing a yellow high-visibility vest walking up to the front door and repeatedly knocking.
Police said he was heard speaking Spanish through his earbuds while he waited on the porch.
About five minutes later, a Mazda CX-9 pulled up, and two men got out.
The vehicle took off, and the three men walked to the back of the house and broke in, according to police.
The trio later exited the home, and the Mazda picked them up. It’s unknown if anything was stolen.
Police are also searching for a man suspected of stealing a person’s credit card last year.
On Oct. 5, a worker at Ace Hardware near 27th and Randolph streets couldn’t find his wallet.
He called his bank and canceled the card, but someone had already used it at the Family Dollar near 24th and N streets.
Surveillance video there captured a man in a Raiders hat carrying a skateboard. He is suspected of using the victim’s credit card to buy a prepaid debit card for over $300.
Anyone with information on either case is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
