WATCH: Man drives off after crashing into pole on UNL’s East Campus
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash last month in east Lincoln.
The crash happened on the University of Nebraska Lincoln’s East Campus near 33rd and Holdrege streets on Oct. 30.
Police said a pickup truck swerved and slammed into a light pole, knocking it over.
A witness pulled over to help the driver, but he took off.
The man was driving a white work truck with a ladder rack over the truck bed, according to police. The truck might have “significant” damage to the front end.
Police are also searching for a man who stole a bottle of alcohol on Nov. 13 at Super Saver near 56th Street and Nebraska Parkway.
Security video captured the man hiding a bottle of Smirnoff in his pants, police said. But the bottle broke and spilled alcohol inside his pants
Police said the man put another bottle of Smirnoff in his pants but fell on the mess from the first broken bottle.
He eventually left the store and took off in a red SUV.
