WATCH: Man runs from officers through south Lincoln neighborhood
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested after running from officers through a south Lincoln neighborhood, the Lincoln Police Department said.
The chase began about 3:30 p.m. in a neighborhood near 40th Street and Yankee Hill Road.
Police said they approached 39-year-old Eddrick Jones as part of a drug investigation.
But Jones took off, LPD said, and officers started a foot pursuit that was captured on doorbell camera footage sent anonymously to Channel 8.
Another video sent to our NOW Local News App shows a police helicopter circling the area.
The chase ended at a Target in the area, where the suspect was shocked with a Taser and arrested, according to LPD.
There were no serious injuries suffered during the chase.
Jones was arrested on suspicion of several charges, including possession of cocaine, resisting arrest, evidence tampering and child abuse.
