LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska Department of Transportation posted a video to Facebook on Monday showing the demolition of two sections of the Columbus Loup River Bridge.
The video shows parts of the bridge falling into the Loup River after bright flashes of light.
The bridge along U.S. Highway 81 and U.S. Highway 30, originally built in 1933, is being replaced.
The project started in April, and the anticipated completion is November 2027.
