WATCH: Nebraska Rep. Mike Flood honors fallen Ceresco Police officer

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska Rep. Mike Flood took the floor of the U.S. House on Thursday to honor fallen Ceresco Police Officer Ross Bartlett.

Bartlett, 54, was killed last week while making a traffic stop on Highway 77.

He served with Ceresco Police and the Ceresco Volunteer Fire Department, while being a full-time investigator with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services.

“We have lost a great officer and an outstanding Nebraskan with a big heart for public service,” Flood said.  “May God be with his family and friends during this difficult time.”

Bartlett’s funeral will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church near 84th Street and Pioneers Boulevard.

After the service, law enforcement agencies will escort Bartlett’s body from the church to Roper & Sons Funeral Home at 4300 O St.
