WATCH: Thieves steal $2,000 flatbed trailer from east Lincoln home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A pair of thieves stole a flatbed trailer from an east Lincoln home earlier this month — and police need your help in finding them.

Police said the theft happened at a home near 37th Street and Madison Avenue on Aug. 9.

Security video captured two people arriving in a dark-colored pickup truck.  They hooked up an H&H flatbed trailer to the truck before taking off.

Police said the trailer is worth $2,000.

Investigators are also on the lookout for a man who pocketed $2,300 during a fraud at US Bank near 70th and A streets on Aug. 12.

Police said the man used a “confusing transaction and quick hand movements” to steal the cash.

Investigators think the same person did a similar “quick change” at a bank in Englewood, Colorado, a day prior.

He’s also suspected of traveling through the state.

Anyone with information on either case is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
