WATCH: Unwelcome guests trespass inside Lincoln garage
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are seeking a pair of unwelcome guests who trespassed inside a Lincoln garage last month.
On Sept. 24, a man spotted on his security camera that two people entered his garage near 28th and U streets around 4:30 a.m.
By the time officers arrived, the two trespassers had left. The victim didn’t think anything was stolen from the garage.
Investigators said the woman appeared to have red hair, and the man seemed to be “very tall.”
Police are also investigating a forgery at LincOne Federal Credit Union near 47th and W streets on Sept. 14.
Investigators received a report of forged checks worth $2,300 and $2,400 to the victim’s bank account, LPD said.
A woman driving a Nissan Frontier with a fake license plate that says “T1RESLAYER” cashed the checks using a stolen ID.
Investigators think she is also involved in a forgery in Ralston.
In total, police are looking into over $10,000 worth of fraudulent transactions and attempted transactions.
Anyone with information on either case is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
