WATCH: Woman tries opening doors, window in break-in attempt at Lincoln home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are looking for a woman who made several attempts to break into a Lincoln home earlier this month.

On Dec. 2, a woman was inside her home near 21st and F streets when she heard knocking at her front door.

Police said she thought it was a family member coming home until she heard knocking coming from a back door.

Security video captured a woman trying to get into the house through multiple doors and a window.

The resident did not recognize the woman, according to police.

Investigators are also searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash at Casey’s near 70th Street and Havelock Avenue on Dec. 6.

A driver of a Dodge van crashed head-on with a vehicle trying to exit the parking lot, police said.  The van then sped off.

One of the van’s passenger side windows appeared to be broken out with a temporary red cover, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
