Waverly falls in state tournament semifinals to Gretna East
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Waverly fell to Gretna East 38-34 on Friday in the girls state high school basketball tournament semifinals.

The Vikings went down 16-10 at the end of the first half.
Waverly outscored Gretna East 24-22 in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to come back for the win.
The Vikings struggled from behind the arc, shooting just 19% from deep.
Parker Christiansen finished the night with a team- and game-high 16 points for the Vikings.
Waverly finished the season with a record of 21-4.
