Waverly Vikings sail past Hastings Tigers in Class B playoffs

WAVERLY, Neb. (KLKN) – Waverly dominated the Hastings Tigers 45-21 on Friday night under a lit Viking Stadium.

The Vikings, 11-0, advance to the semifinals of the Class B playoffs.

In the first quarter, Vikings running back Nathan Axmann put the Vikings up 6-0, and after a successful kick, the Vikings led 7-0.

With the ball on the 10-yard line, the Vikings went for a field goal from Mark Novoselov to go up 10-0 going into the second half.

In the second quarter, Tigers quarterback Tucker Synek passed it off to Chance Vertin for a touchdown.

Up 10-7 in the second quarter, Vikings quarterback Nolan Maahs once again passed to Nathan Axmann for a touchdown.
