‘We have the people’s work to do’: Pillen announces special session on property taxes
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen announced on Monday the dates for a special legislative session on property taxes.
Pillen made the announcement in a column titled “Doing the People’s Work.”
“I vow to do everything in my power as your Governor to cut your property taxes,” Pillen said. “To any state senator reading this — clear your schedule from July 26 to August 15. We have the people’s work to do.”

He said that is not something the people of Nebraska should accept.
