‘We share your grief’: Former Osceola and Columbus firefighter dies of cancer

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Osceola Fire and Rescue announced Monday that former firefighter David Burritt died after a battle with cancer.

In a heartfelt post on Facebook, the fire department reminisced on what Burritt meant to them.

Burritt served with the Osceola Fire Department for seven years before taking a position at the Columbus Fire Department.

“To Gail, Erika, Linda, Kenny and Dave’s Whole Family, we share your grief, and you are in our continued thoughts and prayers,” the department said.
