Wednesday Evening Weather Update; October 21, 2020
Dense Fog Advisory is in effect Wednesday night through Thursday morning for portions of central and southern Nebraska.
TONIGHT: Cloudy skies with scattered showers overnight. Areas of dense fog will be possible. Temperatures will only drop to the middle-40°s. Lincoln Low Temperature: 46°
THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy skies after morning fog. Scattered showers possible throughout the day. A few thunderstorms will be possible by evening, mainly southeast of a Nebraska City to Beatrice line.
Temperatures will widely vary due to a cold front bisecting southeast Nebraska. High temperatures will range from the upper 40°s to near 80°.
TIGHT TEMPERATURE GRADIENT
Temperatures will be interesting to watch late Thursday morning through afternoon. We will have a very tight temperature gradient. The temperature may be near 80° in Beatrice – 72° in Lincoln – 61° in Seward – 48° in Columbus. It will be one of those days where you could experience a 30° temperature swing in a short drive along I-80.
