Weekend events in Lincoln: Super Bowl parties, live music and more

Downtown Business Owners Hope For A Husker Football Return

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Super Bowl Sunday is right around the corner.

The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs go head-to-head for the highest title in the NFL.

While both teams prepare for the game, a few local bars are preparing to host parties.

Duffy’s Tavern at 14th and O Streets is having a party from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Enjoy the famous fishbowls and cheer for your team.

If you’re looking to partake in a different type of competition, then O’Rourke’s is your stop.

O’Rourke’s hosts the annual chili cook-off, where no one is shunned.

Compete with local chefs and friends for a chance to earn the reputation of having Lincoln’s best chili.

If that isn’t quite to your liking, there are many more events to look into over the weekend.
