LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are looking for a beef thief who took off with ribeye steaks from a south Lincoln grocery store last week.

On Oct. 4, a man shopping at Super Saver near 27th Street and Pine Lake Road was spotted putting two packs of ribeye steaks into his bag.

Police said he bought a package of bacon before leaving in a dark-colored car.

He was wearing a red Purina t-shirt and hat, so investigators think he might be an employee at the Purina plant in north Lincoln.

Police are also seeking a woman suspected of being involved in over 30 counterfeit bill cases around the city.

An investigation revealed that the woman passes off fake $20 bills while making smaller purchases to get the most cash back.

The woman was seen driving a silver Ford Edge and a blue Honda Odyssey.

Police said the cases date back to April.
