Wichita invites Nebraskans to see what it has to offer
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The city of Wichita, Kansas, just a four-hour drive from Lincoln, says it has something for everyone.
Jemelle Holopirek of Visit Wichita stopped by the Channel 8 studio on Wednesday to talk about the things there are to do in town.
She said WalletHub recently ranked Wichita in the top five cities to visit this summer.
Holopirek cited several reasons for the high ranking, such as affordability and the attractions the city offers.
Families have many options, like Field Station: Dinosaur and Tanganyika Wildlife Park.
For an additional fee, the wildlife park lets visitors get up close and personal with the animals.
Guests can feed lemurs, rhinos, penguins and more. Plus, you can sunbathe with a Burmese python.
Right now, Wichita is hosting the 2023 Wicked Brew Tour, which gives people a chance to visit multiple local coffee shops.
Participants who finish the tour get a free T-shirt.
