Wilber-Clatonia dominates in home win over Lincoln Lutheran
WILBER, Neb. (KLKN) – The Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines defeated Lincoln Lutheran 42-13 at home Friday night.
The Wolverines began the game hot, securing an opening kickoff fumble to give them possession inside the Warriors’ 20-yard line.
On the next possession, Wolverines quarterback Carter Skleba found the end zone on a quarterback keeper to put Wilber up 7-0.
After the score, Wolverines kicker Kenneth Guerra pinned Lutheran at its own 3-yard line.
And a few plays into the drive, a fumble gave back possession to the Wolverines.
On 2nd-and-10 inside the Warriors’ 15, Skleba handed the ball off to running back Carson Radcliff who fought through some tackles and scored, increasing the lead to 14-0.
The Warriors went four and out on their next possession.
The Wolverines marched down the field, ending their drive with a passing touchdown from Skleba to Aiden Zajicek for another touchdown.
In the second quarter, Lincoln Lutheran found its first score via a passing touchdown from QB Brandon Glines to wide receiver Mason Dawes.
Later in the quarter, Skleba found Radcliff for another score to give Wilber-Clatonia a 28-7 lead before halftime.
Both teams found one more score before the end of the game.
Lincoln Lutheran will look for its third win of the season on the road at Centennial next Friday.
Wilber-Clatonia hits the road next week for a game with Tri County.
