Wildfires shut down highway in northeast Nebraska
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Two wildfires broke out in eastern Nebraska on Thursday.
The Dodge Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department said firefighters are battling two large blazes in Colfax County.
Highway 15 was closed for between Highways 32 and 91 but has since reopened, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
“Please be cautious and refrain from any activity that can cause a fire,” the fire department said.
