Windy into the weekend, small chance for wintry mix Saturday morning
Friday is looking like the warmest day going forward through the middle of the month.
Southeast winds will be stronger especially during the afternoon (gusting around 30 mph) with highs in the middle 40s.
We’ll have plenty of sunshine throughout Friday until clouds increase from the south closer to sunset.
The weekend will be cooler with more cloud cover, windy conditions on Saturday and a small chance at a light wintry mix Saturday morning.
A disturbance passing by to the north will bring some quick, light snow showers to mainly those north of I-80 late Friday night into Saturday morning.
Southeast Nebraska may be in for some light freezing drizzle before some light snow tries to mix in later in the morning. If we see much of anything from that, it’ll be over by the early afternoon.
A dusting that may be measurable for some is expected across the northern half of the state through noon Saturday.
This weekend, talk of the town may be about our snow chances through next week. While it’s way too early to speculate on amounts, we have a handful of days that may see some light snow. Namely, those snow chances look better for Monday into Tuesday and Wednesday.
