Freezing rain/drizzle starting Friday afternoon

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 2pm Friday to 9am Saturday for most of the eastern half of Nebraska.

Freezing rain and ice accumulations ranging from a light glaze up to a tenth of an inch is possible in central Nebraska. An inch of snow and up to two tenths of an inch of ice is possible in eastern Nebraska.

Temperatures in the upper teens throughout tonight into tomorrow morning.

With winds out of the east 5-10 mph, temperatures will feel like single digits by midnight.

Tonight, temperatures in the lower teens for all of us. A cold cold night, make sure to bundle up.

Friday morning, temperatures will feel a few degrees below zero in some spots and low single digits.

Temperatures in the 20s by lunch time and only getting into the upper 20s by the afternoon.

Friday, temperatures will feel like the mid to upper teens all day.

Storm cast is showing some freezing rain starting around 2pm going into Friday night. Saturday morning, some rain is possible in southeast Nebraska.

Total ice accumulation could be up to a few hundredths for most. Some spots could see up to a tenth of an inch. That could come from temperatures dropping below freezing once more Saturday morning.
