Wintry mix Saturday, temperatures cool into next week
Temperatures will drop down into the upper teens for most of us across southeastern Nebraska, with wind chills falling close to single digits early Saturday morning.
Some mixed forms of precipitation will be possible across the state on Saturday. The northwestern corner of the state will see the better chances for snow throughout the early afternoon hours, with minimal accumulations expected. The southeastern corner of the state could see more of a rain/snow mixture starting around noon and carrying into Saturday evening.
Forecast high temperatures for much of southeastern Nebraska will be in the upper 30s. We will close to hitting the 40s here in Lincoln, with winds out of the west between 5 and 10 mph expected throughout most of the day.
The extended forecast shows windy conditions leading into a cold start to the week on Monday and Tuesday. Low temperatures will drop to the single digits to start the week, with wind chills potentially below zero. Expect high temperatures to warm throughout the work week, topping out in the lower 40s on Friday and Saturday before we cool off once again next weekend.
