He averaged 3.2 points and 0.8 rebounds per game last year as a sophomore for Wisconsin.
Although the production from Essegian was down last season, the former Badger put together a strong freshman campaign.
He earned Big Ten All-Freshman honors after averaging 11.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in 27.4 minutes per game.
According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Essegian was a three-star recruit out of high school and was the No. 235 overall player in his class in 2022.
This is the fourth commitment the Huskers have landed from the transfer portal so far this offseason.
Essegian joins Gavin Griffiths, Andrew Morgan, and Rollie Worster in Nebraska’s transfer class.
