Woman accused of driving stolen car through several Grand Island yards

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A woman is behind bars in Hall County after driving a stolen car through several yards, police say.

Grand Island Police said Brianna Johnston was also under the influence of a controlled substance.

Witnesses reported a blue Hyundai sedan with Texas plates driving recklessly near Delta and South Eddy streets.

Police said they arrived on scene and found Johnston in the driver’s seat of the car.

A records check confirmed that the sedan was stolen.

Johnston was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, drug possession and possession of stolen property.
