Woman accused of hitting victim in head with aluminum bat in northeast Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was arrested Monday after an assault at a home in northeast Nebraska, the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office says.

Around 6 p.m., deputies were sent to a home just east of Norfolk on a report of a disturbance.

The sheriff’s office said 38-year-old Bethany Van Duzer hit a woman in the head with an aluminum bat during an argument.

The victim was treated at the scene with an “obvious head injury,” according to the sheriff’s office.

Van Duzer was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and disturbing the peace.
