Woman accused of kicking, punching and slamming a puppy repeatedly in Nebraska
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A puppy was found with a potentially broken leg and a large lump on its head during an animal abuse investigation in Nebraska.
The Grand Island Police Department said this happened on Monday near North Wheeler Avenue and West 20th Street.
A witness accused Megan Klatt of forcefully kicking and punching the 6-month-old puppy in the ribs multiple times.
The witness told police they also saw Klatt slam it on the ground more than once.
GIPD said that as the humane society was retrieving the puppy, Klatt tried to run away but was caught.
She’s now charged with felony cruelty to animals and obstruction.
