Woman assaulted man with beer bottle in Grand Island, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was arrested early Sunday morning after an assault at a home in Grand Island, police say.

Around 12:30 a.m., officers were sent to the home near Broadwell Avenue and West 13th Street.

A 47-year-old man told officers that Crystal Espinosa hit him on the head with a beer bottle.

Espinosa’s partner picked up a metal mailbox and slammed it on the hood of his vehicle, causing about $1,500 in damage, police said.

The victim had “blood all over his face and clothes” and a bump on the top of his head, according to police.

A broken glass bottle was also found on the front porch.

Espinosa was later arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.

Her partner was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief.
