Woman assaulted teen with baseball bat in central Lincoln, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman hit a teen with a baseball bat at a home in central Lincoln on Sunday, police say.
At around 5:20 p.m., officers were sent to a home near 21st and F streets on a report of a weapons violation.
During an investigation, officers learned that Grace Ann Phillips, 37, confronted several juveniles inside the home, police said.
Phillips then struck a 13-year-old boy on the hand with the bat, according to police.
LPD said multiple witnesses reported the assault and provided video recordings to officers.
The victim reported “temporary pain,” but there was no visible injury, according to police.
Phillips was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault and child abuse.
