Woman caught with mushrooms, marijuana in traffic stop west of Lincoln, deputy says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office found copious amounts of drugs Tuesday in a traffic stop west of Lincoln.

Around 9:15 p.m., the agency’s criminal interdiction unit pulled over a Chevy Malibu for an improper lane change on Interstate 80.

Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said deputies were suspicious of criminal behavior and searched the vehicle.

Inside, deputies found 18 pounds of vacuum-sealed marijuana, 3.6 pounds of THC oil, 2 pounds of hash, 1,628 THC vape pens and 10.6 pounds of mushroom chocolate bars.

The driver – 33-year-old Amanda McCandless of Davenport, Iowa – was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
