Woman dies after being struck by SUV

Lincoln Police say 28-year-old Alanna Sanderson was struck and killed by a jeep near 56th and Cleveland Avenue, early Sunday morning, around 2:30 a.m.
Police say the driver of the vehicle was a 20-year-old woman heading northbound on 56th street. Sanderson was transported to a local hospital, where she died from her injuries. Police say she stepped out into traffic.
No citations have been issued at this time.
