Woman found bullet in living room after shooting in south Lincoln, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating after a south Lincoln home was damaged Thursday by gunfire.

Around 5:20 p.m., a 72-year-old woman was at a nearby friend’s house when she heard two to three “pops,” police said.

The woman returned to her home near 27th Street and Nebraska Parkway and found a bullet hole in the back sliding door.

A bullet was discovered lying on her living room floor, according to police.

Investigators also found two additional bullet holes in her fence.

Police estimate the gunfire caused $1,700 in damage.  No one was injured.
