LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police have identified the woman who was found dead in a northeast Lincoln home on Thursday.

In an update on Friday, Capt. Ben Miller said 43-year-old Tracy Henman was found with injuries to her neck in a home near North 56th and Holdrege streets around 8 a.m.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers entered the home after a check-welfare call, according to police.  A 40-year-old Lincoln man, whom Henman knew, was also found in the home and taken to a hospital.

LPD is not identifying the man as he has not been booked in jail.  Charges are pending and are “subject to change based on the outcome of the autopsy and other factors.”

Investigators believe there is no ongoing threat to the community.

LPD noted that the agency’s criminal investigations unit is working on a “number of different elements” of this case, including interviewing people who knew the victim and suspect.
