LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Colorado woman will spend eight years behind bars after Seward County deputies found 15 pounds of meth in her car last year.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said 31-year-old Angelica Ramos Torres Villa was sentenced Tuesday for possession with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of a methamphetamine mixture.

On June 26, 2022, Seward County deputies pulled over Torres Villa for a traffic violation, according to the attorney’s office.

During the traffic stop, a dog smelled drugs inside the vehicle, and troopers found the meth hidden behind removable panels.

After her prison sentence, Torres Villa will serve a four-year term of supervised release.  There is no parole in the federal system.
