LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A woman was sentenced Monday for causing a deadly crash in Saunders County last year.

Madisyn Haack of Bennington got 90 days in jail — with credit for three days already served — and five years of probation.

The 24-year-old will also have her driver’s license revoked for 15 years.

On Nov. 22, Haack was going 77 mph in a 55 mph zone near County Roads 10 and L southeast of Mead, court documents say.

The pickup truck went off the road, and Haack overcorrected. An arrest affidavit says the pickup rolled multiple times.

Haack’s passenger, 23-year-old Bryce Budz of Ashland, was killed in the crash.

Saunders County deputies said they found multiple open alcohol bottles at the scene.

Haack’s blood alcohol content level was .203%, which is almost three times the legal limit.

She pleaded no contest to motor vehicle homicide in July.
