Woman injured after rolling over vehicle in front of Lincoln nursing home

Crash at Sumner Place nursing home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was injured Tuesday in a rollover crash in front of a nursing home in Lincoln.

The crash happened around 12:10 p.m. at Sumner Place near 20th Street and Euclid Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a vehicle on its passenger side against the building, according to police. The driver was still inside the van.

Witnesses reported that the vehicle was speeding went it went over a curb, hit a retaining wall, a tree and a pillar before flipping onto its side.

The vehicle hit the front doors of the building, LPD said.

The woman was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.

Investigators think alcohol might have been a factor in the crash.  An investigation is ongoing.
