Woman killed in Beatrice crash; two boys injured

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – One person died after a Saturday night crash in Beatrice, police say.

Shortly before 10 p.m. a Dodge Avenger and a Jeep Cherokee collided at Seventh and Monroe streets, according to the Beatrice Police Department.

The driver of the Jeep, 45-year-old Amanda Ames of Beatrice, was flown to Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln, where she died.

The 16-year-old boy who was driving the Avenger and his passenger, also a minor male, were taken to Beatrice Community Hospital.

The Nebraska State Patrol is assisting Beatrice Police in investigating the cause of the crash.
