Woman left behind fanny pack containing gun at Lincoln middle school, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A woman was arrested Sunday after leaving behind a gun at a Lincoln middle school, police say.
Around 3:15 p.m., officers were sent to Lux Middle School after someone found a gun during a YMCA basketball game in the gym.
Police said the pistol was found inside a fanny pack that was left on the bleachers in between games.
Officers later identified the owner of the bag, 33-year-old Paige Doncillo, and took her into custody.
She was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm on school grounds.
“Lincoln Police and Lincoln Public Schools would like to remind the community that regardless of recent changes to the Nebraska concealed carry law, it is still illegal to carry a weapon onto school grounds at any time – especially firearms,” officials said in a press release.
