Woman sent to prison for drug bust on I-80 in Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A California woman was sentenced Thursday after she was caught hauling drugs in Nebraska.
Yuri Mulato, 42, will spend 7¼ years in prison for possession with intent to distribute.
A state trooper pulled her over in January on Interstate 80, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and got her permission to search the vehicle.
In the trunk, the trooper found a potato chip box and a spare tire that was too big for the vehicle.
The patrol found drugs in both the box and the tire, the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
In total, troopers seized 22 kilograms of methamphetamine, 1 kilogram of heroin, 1 kilogram of pills containing fentanyl and 475 grams of cocaine.
Mulato will service three years of supervised release after prison.
